SAP calculations
RGP can undertake SAP calculations nationally. We aim to provide a comprehensive service for Architects and Architectural Technicians, enabling new build projects to maximise their full sustainability requirements whilst satisfying Part L of the Building Regulations.
All new build properties require a design SAP calculation to be undertaken, then on completion an as built SAP and EPC. We can undertake this for a competitive fee whilst offering solutions if the initial SAP was to fail at no additional cost.
To summarise.
You will need a SAP and EPC if you are.
- Building a new house.
- Converting an existing building into a dwelling.
- Building an annex for residential purposes.
At RGP we aim to:-
- Provide a design SAP within 7 days of receipt.
- Offer sensible and practical cost effective solutions if the SAP fails.
- Provide an as built SAP calculation and EPC at no extra cost.
What do you need to do next?
All we require is a set of plans, sections and specifications of your proposals. We will process your application and issue you with an electronic assessment (and hard copy if required) for onward submission to Building Control. Upon completion of the property, “as built” drawings are required so that we can produce an EPC for you.
Subject to the SAP design results, it is likely that you will be required to undertake a Pressure Test on the completed dwelling. We can also arrange a pressure test to be carried out by a BINDT registered testing company if required.
